Tired of Speeding Tickets? Trapster is for you!

Trapster is a free social networking application that relies on its large amount of users to identify the locations of speed traps. Using this information and the gps in your phone, the application is able to alert you well before you pass the police car and thus saving you large amounts of money. This is by no means a reason to speed because it is not 100% accurate. According to the developer the features of Trapster are:

Map Display The red dot automatically follows your current GPS location in real time. The emanating blips show the Virtual Radar® alert zone. The alert zone dynamically narrows and elongates based on your velocity and direction of travel. Icons animate while the corresponding audio alert is played.

Trap Types This screen appears when you press "Report a Trap" in the lower left corner of your screen. You can then choose from the 7 trap types listed.

Local Search Click the search icon in upper right corner. Enter your search term and get local results. Choose your listing to find the location on the map.

Local Search On Map After making your selection, your choice is called out on the map with easy access to get more information about this location.

Route Click the route icon in upper right corner next to search. This feature allows you to input your destination and plot your route from stat to end point.

Alert Settings

This screen allows you to set the type of alert and frequency of alerts you want to receive.

Waze - A Free Turn By Turn Navigation Solution

Waze is a social application for windows mobile that provides free turn-by-turn navigation based on the live conditions of the road. Right now there are not enough users for the social networking functions to work accurately, however, it is still a very good free turn by turn navigation solution for your phone. However, as the user base grows the application will work even better because we will be able to get live updates on traffic, speed traps, and accidents. Download here

New Alpha Release of Mozilla's Mobile Browser

Mozilla has released the third alpha build of their new Windows Mobile browser called Fennec. There are still many issues to iron out, however, they are making progress. This is arguably the first usable release, with the last releases having many bugs and extremely slow rendering times. This release is still somewhat slow, but not bad for an alpha version. For those of you that use twitter a lot there is a new great application out there to keep up with it on the go. It has a great user interface and works well. Unlike the other great twitter apps out there this one is free, however, we all know nothing is truly free and in this case you will have to put up with a few ads here and there. Addicting game #4 - PocketDare

PocketDare is based off of the classic game in which thrill seekers would see how fast they could touch a knife blade in the space between all of their outspread fingers. It is similar to the iphone game called iDare. It is a pretty fun game especially when there is no risk of actually stabbing your fingers. Just be careful that you don't hit your screen too hard because there have been reports of iphone users playing iDare that have ruined their screens. Download Here

MemoMe is a very simple, but very useful application. It allows you to record a voice memo and send it to your own email, a secretary, or anyone else.
